Intro

Dark City has a cult following and it should, this film is shot just like the 1994 film the crow as it has the same director Alexas Probsyourass! who has directed other films like I, Robot and Knowing

Dark City has the same sort offffff theme as

The Matrix but without the big action. (stupid fart jokes)

This film has very much a deeper story than Gordon the gophers Rectum

So lets Recap

Our lead, Roofus Seawall plays John Murdoch that has no memory when he wakes up naked in the bath, (bath scene) with a small head scar but doesn’t get desperate as he’s trying to work things out. He is cool calm and collected!

but for a bloke, he has a really nice ass (clip of ass) (No Phil Scofield, he’s too old for you)

Even though there’s a murdered prostitute literally in his hotel toilet! which he finds very soon

before he does, he knocks over a goldfish and saves it, does this mean he really isn’t a bad person?

Then he goes on the run after a phone call, from a doctor, Dr Swinger played by MyBloodIsYourVeins,

John starts Running as there are bold-headed psychopaths called the strangers

that look like they should be in Hellraiser (old Hellraiser clip) and the main bad guy is played brilliantly by Richard oBoldy, you know him

from the Rocky horror picture show? Have you never heard of that one either? The guy who wrote the time warp? That stupid Time Warp song.. put your hands on your hips rubbish. You never see me do shit!

anyways…

These sorts of psychos are trying to track down John Murdoch for killing someone or for some other reason?

So our poor Johns are on the run, with no memory and no idea what’s going on and then meet a prostitute with a kid and they’re not scared of him because he doesn’t look like a serial killer!

What does an insane serial killer have to look like? (nice looking killers Kath Kenedy)

So he meets his wife who apparently had an affair and also meets a copper as well who can’t remember this or that

In fact, nobody can remember much? and nobody can remember when they saw the daylight of the sun last!

What’s going on if you are confused with this review, watch the film cause you are going to be confused then well for the first few chapters but it all seems to make sense at the end!

Negatives

Some of the acting in the first 30 minutes is a bit painful but is it us getting used to this theme?

Even the sexy Jennifer Cumoverme has a very bad hair day acting in this film And that’s most of the acting in the acting in first 30-odd minutes.

It seems to me, Some of the actors don’t really believe in this project and that’s a shame cause this film could have even been better.

Only Roofus Seawall and Richard oBoldy seem to care about this project and they both were brilliant in this film.

The first 30 minutes of this film might want you to turn it off as it’s a bit dated now but stay with it. You really have to get past these little pains to enjoy the ending (image sco fields lover)

Positives

I absolutely love the storyline of this film. I think The plot is brilliant, so original and the storyline is a bit like The Matrix apart from the very little action which The Matrix has!

Hope I don’t spoil it too much

again a great unique plot, about aliens that have a different take on human abduction, they’re not just trying to open us up and experiment on our insides. They’re looking for what makes us tick, our soul if you would like

and the style of the film that’s very dark but does work

Very surreal World that really can’t exist or maybe, it is called a Dark city for a reason!

I do love a sci-fi film that makes no sense when you are watching it but it all falls into place in the final. The little twists and turns along the way.

oooohhh – Flat Earthers will love the ending of this film, hope they don’t expand their weird ideas

and last but not least is my childish crush off Melens Goerge aka Angle of the Australian soap series Home and Away gets her hot rods out, and I still don’t know why my VHS version had pause lines on this scene!

Overall

Overall, when you first watch this film, you will love it just like I did and I know I’m going to upset a few people here

but rewatching it and rewatching it, the film loses its spark which isn’t really a bad thing. Some films you will love on the first viewing then they come a little stale over time watching them again.

If I reviewed this film on its first showing, I would give it a five out of five but sadly now, I still enjoy it but I would only watch it every 8-10 years.
